Regulator introduces rules around accessing pension benefits

The Pensions Regulator has introduced the requirement for us to offer Pension Wise appointments for members who wish to

  • access their pension benefits or,
  • to give details of how to do so if the member declines the offer or,
  • we are unable to book a suitably convenient appointment.

This will apply to members who want to access their pension benefits or transfer their benefits to another scheme.  As such all members should be aware access to benefits cannot proceed until we have confirmation that the member has received guidance or opted out from receiving it.
